Introduction to Thematic Unit: Choices -- Module Overview
Introduction
Everyone is faced with many choices each day! How do we decide which choice to make? What is our basis for making a choice? How do the choices we make affect our present and our future?
And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie highlights a group of people who are each dealing with their choices. Have you read this story? Choices they made in the past are now affecting their present situation. Should they trust a new acquaintance? Should they be suspicious of everyone? Will their choices come back to haunt them? Interestingly, the choices each character makes affects the outcome of the story!
In this unit, we will examine the theme of choices. The following three modules (Grammar, Nonfiction, and Writing) will have the theme of "choices" incorporated into the unit. Be prepared to discuss this theme and complete assignments that correlate to character choices in your novel.
