(WPPE) Lesson Topic 5: Conclusions
Lesson Topic 5: Conclusions
The concluding paragraph is the last paragraph of your essay. Your conclusion should be composed of all commentary. You should not have any concrete details in your conclusion. Contrary to popular belief, your conclusion does not need to repeat the thesis or any keywords from the introduction. However, it does need to give a finished feeling to the entire essay.
Your conclusion will do just that: conclude your essay. It should be a summary of your entire essay. You want to reiterate major points from your paper, but state them in different ways. Remember that the conclusion is the last thing your reader will see, so you want to get your point across without stating any new ideas.
Sample Conclusion
Variety is the spice of life in California. Vietnamese, Hispanic, black, and white communities all try to work together to form a cultural alliance to ease racial problems that seem to plague our world. Transplanted Californians only add to the flavor that is California. Different is always good, and it is what makes California a great state.
