EC- Ethical Connection Overview
Ethical Connection
Introduction
Making ethical decisions occurs often. Determining if an action is legal or confirming that the decision aligns with policies will assist you in making wise choices. Society has benefited from computers, but some individuals use computers to gain unauthorized access to your documents. You frequently type personal information in forms on the websites you visit. You can secure your personal information by determining who can access your information and establishing how the information will be used. Setting secure passwords will prohibit thieves from accessing your devices. Computers are also used to obtain data for reports and projects. Citing resources used is important. It is also important that you do not violate the copyright of owners of original works by using images that you did not create without obtaining permission.
In this final module we will focus on the importance of understanding how to appropriately use your ethical mindset to maintain good digital citizenship.
