CR - What is Warranty? Lesson
What is a Warranty?
Consumers buy products every day and they expect those products to do what the manufacturer and seller promises. More than that, they expect the product to be durable enough to last through normal wear and tear. If the product for some reason breaks, they do not want to wait on government agencies to address the issue. This is where a warranty is helpful because it guarantees the quality and performance of a product. The two types of warranties that exist are express and implied. An express warranty is an oral or written promise that states a product has a certain quality or performance. An implied warranty is given by all sellers and imposed by law but does not have to be stated to be effective. Read the information in presentation below to learn more about the different types of warranties and what promises they guarantee.
