CR - Unfair Business Practices Lesson
Unfair Business Practices
A consumer is an individual that acquires goods or services for direct use. That means that everyone who has ever purchased something is a consumer. As a consumer, you expect to receive high quality goods and services although that is not always the case. The federal government has established laws that will protect the consumer from sellers and manufacturers who attempt unfair business practices against individuals by participating in fraudulent marketing activities or eliminating competition. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is the agency that enforces the laws that make unfair trade practices illegal. Review the presentation below to learn about some common unfair business practices and how they may affect you.
