Is there a company that will hire you without any skills? Definitely not. Sure, you can find a job with little to no experience but, you must have some skills. Recently, there has been talk in the news and on the Internet about employability and what that means for the job seeker. Essentially, it means that it is important for you to know what types of skills makes you desirable to an employer. What can you do that will contribute to the success of the business? How can you help the business run more smoothly?
So what are employers looking for? View the activity below to find out more.
The skills that you have just learned are skills that you have learned at school, at part time jobs, in social environments, and/or during community service activities. If there are any skills that you feel you need to brush up on, don't worry! There will be plenty of opportunities for you to learn or improve these skills. In addition, you will have the opportunity to put these skills into practice with assignments and projects throughout the course.
