Your Latin IIIA final exam is comprehensive. It covers all of the modules you have studied. It will require you to demonstrate understanding of grammar, vocabulary, culture and your ability to translate Latin. Below are some suggestions for reviewing.

  • Review the Reading Logs from each module (both English and Latin, where applicable). Understanding the context of the Latin we were working with will be part of your final, and it is important that you review that Latin (and the translated works of each author).
  • Be sure you have completed the study guide for each module. Review the completed study guides.
  • Review grammar. Review your completed handouts.
  • Review vocabulary and derivatives. Review your completed handouts.
  • Review Roman culture. The discussions are a good place to go back and review major cultural points.
  • Follow any suggestions your instructor provides to prepare for the final exam.
