Suetonius' Account of Caesar's Life in Translation
Gaius Suetonius Tranquillus, usually simply referred to as Suetonius (pronounced Sweh-toh-nee-us), was a historian living during the 1st century of the common era (his exact birth and death dates are unknown, but are approximated to be 69 CE to 122 CE). He wrote a series of biographies about the early emperors of Rome, called The Lives of the Caesars, and started with a detailed biography of Julius Caesar's life.
