Julius Caesar is one of the most famous names in World History, so much so that the name Caesar came to be associated with ruler. Roman emperors called themselves Caesar, the Germans adopted the term kaiser to describe their leader, and the Russians used the term czar/tsar, all based on the name of this one man. Who was Julius Caesar? Why has this one man's legacy so strongly endured?
