In the previous lessons, details were shared on how to handle customers in a face-to-face setting. Many customers purchase items online and technology is used to place orders and provide feedback. In those instances, database software can be used to establish contact information that can be easily updated and queried. Word processing software can be used to send business letters and desktop publishing software can be used to create flyers, brochures, banners, and postcards. Several companies have invested in customer service software to collect, organize, respond, and generate reports to assist in providing quality customer service.
