Course Introduction
By now, you may know from previous science knowledge how to grow a plant. You start with soil, plant a seed, add water and sunlight, and watch it mature over time. Have you ever noticed each tree might look a little different even though they are the same species? During this course you will be able to choose the way you grow the branches on a tree of life while you explore Biology. You will be earning badges during this course by choosing how you want to show mastery of each standard of Biology. The arrangement of the branches will be completely up to you and the pathway you choose. Each badge will give you an important element for growing a tree of life. After you earn all your badges then you will have successfully grown your own tree of life, and mastered this Biology course.
During your journey you will also be creating a travel journal around the world. You will travel to unique destinations as your grow your tree of life. There are more instructions in this module about this for you to read.
You must score at least 70% of the assignment of choice in order to earn your tree badge. The end result will be a full tree of life. Each tree will have different branch arrangements, but the end result will be a full grown tree to indicate that you have mastered Biology, the study of life.
