Do plant and animal cells reproduce the same?
While most of the steps are identical, there are two main differences between how plant and animal cells reproduce:
- A cell plate forms in a plant cell, while the cell cleaves (pinches) in animal cells during cytokinesis.
- Plant cells do not have centrioles. They have microtubules instead.
