DEDD - Planning Your Game Lesson
Planning Your Game Lesson
Your game design document outlined almost all aspects of the game. Your next task is to outline a priority of tasks, and who on the team will accomplish them. In the real game dev world, everyone has specific tasks, as you saw early in the course with a display of careers at HiRez Studios.
In planning your game with your team, reflect on the game design document, but also look ahead to the rubrics of the future assignments. Most plans skip over some basic items to have in your game, so plan on making them happen: have a title screen, an instructions screen, and a credits screen for your user. These are new techniques to be learned, and "learning how to learn" is one of the most important aspects of game development. You will see this reviewed in your Final Game submission!
