First Steps in 3D Game Development Lesson

Your task in this lesson is to complete the first two videos of the Unity Roll-a-Ball tutorial. There is a LOT of new terminology to learn here, so be sure you reference the Key Terms page in this module. Most of the terms are general game development terms, not just Unity. It's okay to feel awkward as you begin to use Unity or any complicated software, it is very much like learning to ride a bike, and before you know it this will be no problem! Come back to the list as you hear terms that need clarification, and remember to ask questions in our Discussion Board.

By the end of the following tutorial, you should have a sphere on a background, similar to the example in the tutorial.  Your goal of the first two tutorials seems simple: to create the playing plane and the player sphere. However, you are also becoming familiar with the Unity software, the various panels and controls, and a system of organization, all of which are foundational to the entire course.
