IAPS - What About Calculators? Lesson
What about Calculators?
Thank goodness calculators can be used on the AP Exam and will be used extensively throughout the course to assist in complicated calculations, leaving us free to do what humans do best…ANALYZE and FORM CONCLUSIONS. A Texas Instruments graphing calculator is recommended, either a TI 83 or 84 or any version of those models. It is helpful to know the stat (statistics) calculator command buttons. One of the major improvements in graphing calculators is the inclusion of the stat commands. Prior to that improvement all calculations were done by hand. Beyond calculators we also rely heavily on computers to process large amounts of data…however you may not use them on the exam.
