While having a complete understanding of the process of forming a relative pronoun is important, the main goal of the Latin curriculum is to improve your ability to successfully read and comprehend Latin. With relative pronouns, your goal needs to be to establish that you can quickly recognize the relative form, and then immediately recognize the antecedent noun to successfully read or translate the complex Latin sentence.
