Demonstrative Pronouns Charts

Below you will find the forms of the demonstrative pronouns. Just as with is, ea, id, these pronouns use the irregular adjective form. Please take some time to learn these forms.

Demonstrative Pronoun - hic - this

hic, haec, hoc - this, these

Nota Bene

  • With hic, haec, hoc, notice that most of the singular forms end with -c.
    • Before the -c, the regular accusative singular ending -m changes to an -n.
    • In the plural, the -c only appears in the neuter nominative and accusative. 
  • Irregular adjective form reminder:
    • genitive singular = -ius (huius)
    • dative singular = -i (huic)
