Introduction 

 In this module, we will talk about hobbies and travel. You will learn the words and patterns to show your hobbies, such as "shè yǐng摄影、wén xué文学、wǎng qiú网球、lán qiú篮球、yīn yuè音乐、huì huà绘画 "etc. and "wǒ xǐ huān我喜欢……" If you want to make a traveling plan with your friend, you could ask " zhè gè jiǎ qī nǐ xiǎng qù nǎr wán ？这个假期你想去哪儿玩？"To show your disagreement politely, you could say" xī ān dōng tiān tài lěng le 。wǒ xiǎng qù nuǎn huo diǎnr de dì fāng ，qù xiāng gǎng zěn me yàng ？西安冬天太冷了。我想去暖和点儿的地方，去香港怎么样？"

Essential Questions

• How do you ask about what courses is someone going to take?
• How do you express your hobbies?
• How do you give and take advice about course selection?
• How do you say your original plan?
• How do you make a suggestion about a travel plan?

In this module, we will learn how to say different courses in Chinese as well as make suggestions. To tell others your hobby, you can say "我喜欢摄影/文学/网球/篮球/音乐/绘画。" To show you are interested in something, you could use the pattern"我对……很感兴趣". If you made a traveling plan but it changed somehow, you can say"我本来想……但是……" When you want to make a suggestion about where to go, you could say "要不我们去……吧".
