Introduction
In this module, we talk about birthday gifts and medicines. You will learn the expressions of different gifts, for example, "qún zi裙子、míng xìn piàn明信片、shǒu biǎo手表、chàng piàn唱片、huà画、zhēn zhū xiàng liàn珍珠项链、shū书 and also the measure words go with them, such as "tiáo 条、zhāng张、kuài 块、běn本" Besides, we will also learn some relative phrases and complex sentences like "jǐn guǎn……hái shì尽管……还是……and chú le……zhī wài, hai 除了……之外,还". When your friends are ill, you could enquire about the illness with "Nǐ zěn me le? Wǒ kàn nǐ yì zhí zài ké sou. 你怎么了?我看你一直在咳嗽",or "nǐ shì bú shì gǎn mào le? Fā shāo ma? 你是不是感冒了?发烧吗?"

In this module, you will learn how to give and talk about gifts when you attend someone's birthday party. When you talk about the gifts, some measure words are often used, such as "条、张、块、本". To enquire about someone's illness, you may say"Nǐ zěn me le? Wǒ kàn nǐ yì zhí zài ké sou. 你怎么了?我看你一直在咳嗽",or "nǐ shì bú shì gǎn mào le? Fā shāo ma? 你是不是感冒了?发烧吗?", and the proper answer could be "bù fā shāo, dàn quán shēn méi lì qì. 不发烧,但全身没力气。" Some common medicines like 消炎药、创可贴、感冒药 are helpful and you can choose 中药 or 西药, but make sure you take them the way you are told to, for example, "yí cì yí lì, yì tiān sān cì.一次一粒,一天三次。"".
