Postage and Exchange Rate

Introduction 

 In this module, you will learn how to mail a package in Chinese. When you mail something, you could begin with "Wǒ xiǎng jì yì fēng xìn/ wò xiǎng jì diǎner dōng xī."我想寄一封信/我想寄点儿东西. There are two kinds of deliveries,特快专递(tè kuài zhuān dì) and 普通快递(pǔ tōng kuài dì). To ask about the time needed for mail delivery you could say "qǐng wèn wǎng měi guó jì tè kuài zhuān dì xū yào duō cháng shí jiān ？请问往美国寄特快专递需要多长时间？". To change money, you would learn how to inquire about the exchange rate with "jīn tiān rén mín bì hé gǎng bì de huì lǜ shì duō shǎo ？ 今天人民币和港币的汇率是多少？".

Essential Questions

To ask about the time needed for mail delivery you could say "qǐng wèn wǎng měi guó jì tè kuài zhuān dì xū yào duō cháng shí jiān ？请问往美国寄特快专递需要多长时间？". When you tell someone just fill out a form with his/her name and mailing address, you could say" xiě hǎo shōu jiàn rén de xìng míng hé dì zhǐ jiù xíng. 写好收件人的姓名地址就行。". When you talk about the exchange rates, you could ask "jīn tiān rén mín bì hé gǎng bì de huì lǜ shì duō shǎo ？今天人民币和港币的汇率是多少？", and the answer could be "yì bǎi kuài rén mín bì huàn yì bǎi èr shí bā kuài yī máo jiǔ gǎng bì.  一百块人民币换一百二十八块一毛九港币。".
