Introduction 

In this module, we will learn how to express weather in Chinese. When you talk about the weather, you could compare different places by using "比". And you can also show your feeling about the weather. As the western culture, the weather could be a good topic to start a conversation in China as well, you could begin with "今天天气很好！ jīn tiān tiān qì hěn hǎo！" which means "what a nice day today!" When you surf the Internet, you could have a lot of fun, for example, "聊天"" 看电影""玩游戏""网购" etc.

Essential Questions

• How do you talk about weather forecasts?
• How do you talk about the weather in winter or summer?
• How do you express the temperature?
• How do you compare the temperature of the two places?
• How do you express what you usually do?
• How do you say different online activities in Chinese?

In this module, we will learn different expressions of weather. To talk about the weather forecast, you could say "tiān qì yù bào shuō míng tiān yǒu yǔ .天气预报说明天有雨。". And to compare the temperature of two places, you could use the pattern "…… bǐ …… lěng duō le……比……冷多了" or "…… hé …… chà bù duō rè..……和……差不多热" When you talk about what you usually do when surfing the Internet, you may use the words like"聊聊天""看看电影""玩玩游戏", in which the reduplication of verbs can be used to raise examples.
