Color and Direction

Introduction 

In this module, we will learn how to say some colors in Chinese. If you want to ask what color is something, you could use the pattern "……是什么颜色? …… shì shén me yán sè？"  The answer could be "是……色的。shì …… sè de." To ask the way, you could say"……怎么走？……zěn me zǒu ？". We will also learn the words to show the way to someplace in Chinese, such as "直走zhízǒu， 往左拐wǎngzuǒguǎi，对面duìmiàn，往前走wǎngqiánzǒu，北面běimiàn" etc.

When you ask about the color of something, you can say ""……shì shén me yán sè ?……是什么颜色"。 and the answer could be "Zhè shì hóng sè.这是红色。" To make a brief comment on something, you could say "很漂亮。hěn piào liang " or "不错bú cuò"。To ask how to get to a place, you can use the pattern "Zěn me zǒu …？…怎么走？", and the answer can be "直走，第一个路口往左拐。在银行的对面。 zhí zǒu, dì yī gè lù kǒu wǎng zuǒ guǎi .zài yín háng de duì miàn." When you talk about the surroundings, you may say "北边有一家商场，南边有一个邮局Běi biān yǒu yì jiā shāng chǎng ，nán biān yǒu yí  gè yóu jú."
