BP - "Birthday and Place" Review Lesson

Now that you have completed the initial assessments for this module, review the lesson material with the practice activities and extra resources.   

In this module, we have learned how to talk about dates and places in Chinese. To ask what's the date today, you could use the pattern "今天是几月几号?jīn tiān shì jǐ yuè jǐ hào?" or "今天几号?jīn tiān  jǐ hào?" in short. The answer is "今天是……月……号。jīn tiān shì …… yuè …… hào." When you ask where is someone or something, you can say "……在哪儿？……zài nǎr". To answer this kind of question, you have to figure out the words "上面" "后面" "里" etc. For example,"在新新小区后面。 zài xīn xīn xiǎo qū hòu miàn." and "在桌子上面的文件夹里。 zài zhūo zi shàng miàn de wén jiàn jiā lǐ."

If you are not so familiar with these sayings and words/sentences, you can repeat them several times from the content area until you feel very comfortable and confident. Remember, you need to understand both pinyin (pronunciations) and appropriate Chinese expressions in Chinese characters. Thank you for your hard work in this course.
