Channel Management
Distribution is the "Place" part of the 4P's.
Channel management, or distribution, is the process of deciding how to get goods into customers' hands. Physically moving and storing goods is part of distribution planning. The main methods of transportation are by truck, rail, ship, or air. Some large retail chains store products in warehouses for later distribution. Distribution also involves the systems that track products.
Customer Service and Channel Management
Customer service is important in the distribution of products to customers. If a customer orders a product, the company must make sure that the product is delivered to the customer and the customer is happy.

- Order processing
- Correct shipping information

- Handling complaints
- Reducing the probability of complaints
