It's time to Party! What if you were throwing a party in German? How would you describe what is at the party? How would you go about inviting people to your party? How would you describe the party to another person? These are just some of the questions that you will be able to answer at the end of this unit. You will start by learning some key party vocabulary and using that you will be able to invite someone else to your party. You will learn how to compare things in German and express the comparative and superlative forms of adjectives.

- What are some of the most famous German bands / singers in Germany?
- What items or expressions would one use for a typical party in Germany?
- How do I invite someone to a party in German?
- What are dative verbs and how are they used?
- How do I express the comparative and the superlative in German?
- How do I compare two things in German?
Goal Statement
You will begin by learning different verbs and nouns associated with having a party in German and also some common expressions that may be used at festive gatherings. You will also learn about some of the most famous bands and singers in Germany today and some of their most popular songs. Then, you will learn how to invite someone to a party using the verb "einladen" and how to identify and use dative verbs. Next you will learn how to form the comparative and the superlative of adjectives in German and how to compare things to each other. Finally, you will use what you have learned to plan and invite people to your party in German.
