WFD: Overview

How do you feel today? Could you express this in German? Could you describe to a third person how someone else feels? What about if you go to the doctor, how would you describe what you have or your symptoms in German? Now that we have learned how to describe people's personality as well as their physical description, we will learn how to be able to tell people how we feel and be able to ask them about how they feel. We will also learn how to give critical information about ourselves to doctors and other medical professionals.

  • How do you describe how you feel in German?
  • How do I use the present progressive tense in German in relation to feelings?
  • What are some of the most famous German films?
  • How do you ask someone how they feel in German?
  • How do I express an ailment in German?
  • How do I express that something hurts in German?

Goal Statement

You will begin by learning how to identify different feelings in German. Next, you will learn about some of the most famous German Films. You will also learn a famous tongue twister that comes from Oberammergau, a small village in Bavaria. You will then learn the conjugations of the verb werden and how it is used to express how you feel in German. Then, you will review the vocabulary related to body parts and you will learn how to express different ailments in German. You will use what you have learned to express your feelings and the feelings of others as well as describe your feelings in different scenarios. You will learn how to give critical medical information about yourself in German and be able to describe your symptoms to medical professionals.
