In order to deal with stress, you need to develop coping strategies. The strategies will help you avoid some stressors and develop positive coping strategies for stress that you cannot avoid. Using negative coping techniques can be dangerous and may cover up the effects of stress and do not deal with the stressor. You need to figure out what helps you when stress occurs.
