You probably face stressful situations every day that affect you both physically and emotionally. In fact, two-thirds of Americans report feeling “stressed out” at least once a week. In this lesson, you will read more about how your body responds to stress.

Reflection...

As you can see, there are physical and behavioral effects of stress on your body. The body's response is the same for both positive and negative stress. Many of these changes can have serious effects if left unattended. In the next microlessons, you will learn the difference between positive and negative stress and coping strategies to manage stress.
