Overview

This is a fitness course in which you will learn the skills needed to assess and plan a personal wellness program. Successful completion of this course is a requirement for graduation in the State of Georgia. We will discuss current, fundamental topics in health-related physical fitness, nutrition, and stress. This course will encourage you to develop an individual optimum level of physical fitness. You will also acquire knowledge of physical fitness concepts and understand the significance of lifestyle on your health and fitness. You will also develop your own personal fitness program.

We will use: unique and interactive lessons, discussions, and a weekly activity log to track our workouts.

FITNESS THROUGHOUT LIFE: Learn strategies to continue to be active in adulthood.
PERSONAL FITNESS PORTFOLIO: Bring everything in together and create a personal fitness plan that you can use always!

Personal fitness is one of the most important classes that you will take in school. You have one body, and you need to take care of it! By the end of this course, you will have the knowledge of physical fitness concepts and understand the significance of lifestyle on your health and fitness. You will also develop your own personal fitness program.
