OPTION 1: State and Local Government Leaders

For this assignment, you will research various local government leaders in your state, county, city, and school district. You will determine who they are, the services they provide, and how those services are funded. Follow the instructions in the interactive powerpoint handout. Be sure to include all the required information. Use your own research as all responses will be unique to your location.

OPTION 2: Local Community Service-Learning Assignment

For this assignment, you will map your neighborhood and determine an issue that is important to you and others in your community. Utilizing the interactive powerpoint handout, you will map the community, highlight areas in need of improvement, interview community members, and determine a plan to get the job done. Follow the instructions in the powerpoint.
