🎯 Introduction to Your Capstone Project

Introduction to Your Capstone Project

A Capstone Project is an Inquiry-Based Student Interest, multi-step Project-Based Learning, or Real-World Solution Project. Your course will have one Capstone project, with several checkpoints. See the instructions below for the Capstone project and pay close attention throughout the course to each checkpoint.

Capstone Project for Seeking to Amend the U.S. Constitution

In this course you will learn about Article V of the United States Constitution and the amendment process. You will also learn how this process was used to make changes to the Constitution. The Capstone project will give you the opportunity to experience the process as you work on a plan for adding a new amendment to the United States Constitution.

  • Can you think of a right or freedom that needs to be protected in the United States?
  • Is there a new power or a limit on a power that needs to be added to the Constitution?
  • Or is there a function of the Constitution that needs to be revised?

Your final product will include seven parts that you will research, analyze, put together, and create during this course.

  • Part 1: Draft of Proposed Amendment
  • Part 2: Impact from Key Factors of Change
  • Part 3: Path for Amendment
  • Part 4: Building a Coalition
  • Part 5: Persuasive Pitch for the Proposed Amendment
  • Part 6 Marketing Campaign
  • Part 7: Works Cited Page
