Greetings Overview

As a student of American Sign Language, it is important to learn how to interact with the deaf community by becoming familiar with deaf cultural behaviors that differ from the way are you used to doing things as a hearing person. Because ASL is a real and separate language from English, it is important that you learn how to use the language properly. This means respecting the language and the culture of the people who use the language.  

This module will introduce you to some basics of Deaf culture and conversation etiquette.  The topics covered in this module are as follows:
