Creative Journal Page: Paper Cranes
The history of the paper crane is a very interesting and inspiring story. Review the story of the paper cranes from earlier in this module, or you can do some research on the following sites:
- https://www.nps.gov/articles/000/the-story-of-sadako-sasaki.htm (Links to an external site.)
- https://theelders.org/news/story-sadako-sasaki-and-hiroshima-peace-cranes (Links to an external site.)
For this creative journal page, you do not need to illustrate this story, but take some inspiration from it. There are many aspects of the story that could be used as inspiration like the Japanese folklore tradition, 1300 paper cranes, or Hiroshima.
Journal Requirements:
Create a full-color page in your journal that is inspired by the paper crane story. Draw out your page in pencil, complete it in watercolor and color pencil and then trace the pencil in black flair pen.
