Introduction to the Voice
A performer communicates with the audience by being seen and heard. The voice, therefore, is a very important tool for turning text into action. In this lesson, students will gain an understanding of how the human body produces sound and all its parts. Through vocal warm-ups, actors will be able to use various rates, pitches, and volumes. They will also make decisions for speech based on known character information.
Preparing and Controlling the Voice
For this lesson, you will need to read and participate in each of the vocal exercises in order to export the parts of the vocal tract and to gain more control over your voice. Let's begin with a quick vocal warm-up;
