Shopping in Spanish-speaking countries can be great fun. Saturday is a major shopping day as most stores are closed on Sunday. Zara is a well-known and affordable clothing store. Zara is a Spanish fast-fashion retailer based in Arteixo, Galicia, Spain. The company was founded in 1975 by Amancio Ortega and Rosalía Mera. It is the main brand of the Inditex group, the world's largest apparel retailer. Zara has two stores here in the Atlanta area. Click on this handout titled, "Cultura: La Ropa de Zara." There is a link on the page that will take you to the store's site in Spain along with a list of questions.
