The expression "If you don't use it, you'll lose it" is so true when it comes to language learning. Applying the use of the language to the various areas of study will demonstrate a remarkable improvement in acquisition. As your language skills continue to develop in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, you'll experience improvement; the key to language learning is to use it as much as possible in all areas. Your dedication will not only assist you in being successful in acquiring the language, but also enhances job skills, makes you more marketable, achieves cultural understanding among the 21 Spanish-speaking nations, and allows you to see how different or similar your own culture is in comparing it to the Spanish-speaking nations. Your success translates into a more productive citizen.

We are going to begin our course with a review of some basic and essential material that should have been learned in your Spanish I course and are necessary to build on Spanish 2. If you did not cover the material in your level 1 Spanish course, it will be your responsibility to review the material. As you complete this module, remember to ask your teacher for help whenever necessary, complete any review activities provided in this module, and visit the links provided in the sidebars to reinforce previously learned material.
