Review

In studying for the test, especially the multiple choice, a few strategies should be employed. Look over the information in this module. Especially go back and review the questions that you answered in Key Concepts that relate to the information and readings found there, as well as the information about the lead up to the Civil War. In addition, many of the test questions relate to items described in the key terms for the module found on the introduction page. Click here to view the Prelude to War Memory Aids. For the short answer portion of the test, be familiar with these two topics, as you will be asked a question relating to one of them.

1. The controversy over slavery and its role in causing the Civil War.
2. Various examples of how Manifest Destiny took place.
