FUT: Cultura Lesson - Agosto en España

Cultura - Agosto en España

Traditionally August is the month for Spaniards to go on holiday, and during this time you shouldn't plan on advancing with big projects in Spain (like applying for school, getting a driver's license, etc.). It ties in to the work-to-live vs. live-to-work ideology this country has. It is a way for people to spend time with their family and to ensure they get the time to rest they deserve. In August, if a business does not actually close for the entire month, then they at least go on "summer hours" (open half day only). All schools go back in session the second week of September.
