Le comparatif et le superlatif

The AP French exam is a language and culture exam in which you make comparisons. It is important that you be able to make comparisons and to use superlatives. There are a number of factors in play when mastering comparisons and superlatives in French. The grammar and exercises presented in this grammar lesson assume that you are comfortable with the following concepts:

1. noun gender
2. adjective agreement with noun (gender and number)
3. adjective placement
4. irregular adjective forms
5. demonstrative pronouns (celui/celle/ceux/celles)
