Le causatif faire

Introduction - The causative construction is all about two things:

1. the verb faire
2. actions a person was too lazy to complete himself and had completed by someone else.

Ok, the laziness is a joke (maybe), but the reality of the causatif faire is the same - you are expressing actions that you are having someone else do.

English Examples

• I am having my car washed today.
  • See...it's not you washing your car. It is someone else, and you're the recipient of someone else's work.
• The children made their parents lie for them.
  • The childrent didn't lie per se. They made their parents lie, and thus, the children are the subjects making their parents their lying agents.
