Le passé composé vs. L'imparfait

Introduction - Knowing when to use le passé composé or l'imparfait can be challenging. However, there are signal words and contexts that help make the decision a lot simpler. In some instances, both le passé composé and l'imparfait are possible. These instances are, however, uncommon. For now, focus on the distinctions you can make so that you use the correct past tense verb. Practice is key. Be sure to complete the activities on le passé composé vs. l'imparfait.
