Design with an End in Mind Module Overview

Have you ever wondered when an idea becomes a reality? It does not occur when it is visible or tangible but when you visualize it. As a web designer, it is important to begin your design process with an ending in mind. What does that mean? It means you have given thought to your target audience, considered your team and their responsibilities, thought through possible roadblocks, established a time-frame for completion, and brainstormed options for maintenance control. This module will provide you with details on planning your website, highlighting accessibility options, cultural considerations, ethical issues, and details involved in publishing a website.

  • What factors should be taken into consideration when designing a website for your target audience?
  • As a web designer, who would you select to be part of your design team? Explain why.
  • What steps are involved in publishing a coded website?
