LRD - Reflexive Verbs (Lesson)
Reflexive Verbs
This is a very preliminary introduction to reflexive verbs. You will learn this concept much more in depth in Spanish II, however, learning the basic concept now will really help you later on!
Here's the gist:
Reflexive verbs tell an action that someone is doing to themselves (i.e. I wash MY hair. SHE brushes HER teeth) and these verbs have 2 PARTS.
- Reflexive pronoun (me, te, se, nos, os, se)
- Verb (normal conjugation)
Here are some examples:
- Yo me lavo el pelo. (I wash my hair.)
- Ella se cepilla los dientes. (She brushes her teeth.)
- Maya se peine el pelo. (Maya combs her hair.)
Because this is an introduction, all of the verbs you will need for this module have been conjugated for you including both parts in the vocabulary list.
