Days and Dates, Part 2

During the holidays and school breaks, what are some things you enjoy doing? How do you like to spend your time? Do you enjoy going to a movie, concert, or shopping? Do you enjoy playing sports? With whom do you like to spend your time? Your family? Your friends? I am sure there are millions of things you like to have and do. In this module, you will learn to express things you want and do during your holidays.

Essential Questions:

  • How do you state what you want?
  • How do you ask what activities someone does on holidays?
  • How do you tell what activities you do on holidays?
  • What kind of leisure-time activities do Japanese people typically enjoy?

Goals

By the end of this module, for listening and speaking skills, you will be able to ask about and express wants. You will also be able ask and tell about holiday and leisure-time activities.   For reading and writing skills, you will learn to recognize katakana ナニヌネノ and ハヒフヘホ . For cultural understanding, you will learn about leisure-time activities in Japan.
