The Future Tense in German - werden

To state that something has not yet happened, English uses an auxiliary verb: will + the verb that is going to happen. German is very similar to English in that it forms the future tense by using an auxiliary verb (werden) followed by the infinitive form of the verb that is going to happen. The infinitive form gets placed at the end of the sentence.

The conjugation of werden

Werden.
Singular: ich werde, du wirst, er / sie / es wird.
Plural: wir werden, ihr werdet, sie / Sie werden.
