The purpose of this unit is to familiarize you with the German terms for different types of geographical features. In addition, you will learn how to identify the various countries of Europe in German as well as the major geographical features of Germany and Europe.   You will learn about the importance of NATO and the EU and the role that Germany plays in each. You will become familiar with the conjugations and use of the German verbs fahren, fliegen and möchten. You will be able to relate which countries you would like to visit and be able to give a reason why you would like to visit them. Finally, you will learn the political geography of Germany by expanding your knowledge of the various German states and their capitols.
