IDF: Introduction

In this unit, you will become familiar with the German terms and vocabulary used to describe the various free time activities. You will then become familiar with Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, one of the most famous German poets of all time. You will hear a few of his most famous poems and discover some of his other important works. Then, you will learn how to express what you like to do and what you don't like to do in German and you will be able to describe why you like or don't like to do certain activities. You will also be able to express what activities you do when the weather is a certain way. You will become familiar with both coordinating and subordinating conjunctions in German and be able to describe their effect on German word order.

- How do I say what activities I like to do in my free time in German?
- How do I use the conjunction "when" in German?
- How do you describe what activities you participate in when it is raining or when it is sunny?
- How can you relate why you like to participate in certain free time activities in German?
- How do I relate what activities I did yesterday?
