WUL: The Verb Haben (to have)

The Verb Haben (to have)

Other than the to be verb, sein, few other verbs in German are as widely used as haben, to have. Let's learn the forms of this essential verb, which you will use often when forming sentences.

Please notice that there is a small change in the root in the "du" and "er/sie/es" forms. Otherwise, the verb follows the regular conjugation pattern we discussed in the previous units.

du hast you (informal) have
er/sie/es hat he/she/it has
