FAM: Indicating Possession
Indicating Possession
A proper name is a noun that designates a specific person or place (Julia, Markus, Deutschland). Like in English, possession is indicated by adding "-s" to the proper names.
The difference is in German you only need the apostrophe when the proper name ends in "-s" already.
