IAPC - Equation Editor and Word Processing Lesson
Equation Editor and Word Processing
One of the most useful and powerful tools for mathematics students and teachers is the built-in mathematical equation feature of Microsoft Office Word . Mathematical equations, expressions, symbols, operators, and formulas may be inserted directly into your Word documents by first selecting the Insert tab and then clicking on the Equation symbol. As you build expressions or equations by selecting components from the Equation toolbar, font sizes, spacing, and formatting automatically adjust. You can also adjust formatting manually and redefine the automatic styles.
Equation editors are available with most word processing programs, as well as within Google docs, so you are free to choose the one that is most compatible with your platform, as long as the functionality is comparable. Whichever equation editor you select, it will be an invaluable tool as you complete your assignments in this course.
